It gives me immense pleasure to know that Metropolitan University, Sylhet is going to hold its second Convocation. On this auspicious occasion, I congratulate the graduating students, their parents, faculty members and management of the university on their collective endeavour.

Convocation is a memorable event that confers degrees upon the graduating students and at the same time evaluates the overall accomplishment of the university. The Government of Bangladesh has taken various steps including the enactment of Private University Act 2010, and formulation of National Education Policy 2010 to ensure quality education from primary to tertiary level. I believe that the universities of our country will take necessary measures to comply with the relevant education Policy and Act and put emphasis on research activities for transforming university into a true centre of excellence. I hope that the graduating students of this university will utilise their acquired knowledge and expertise for making Bangladesh a prosperous country imbued with the spirit of patriotism and the war of liberation.

I wish the second Convocation of Metropolitan University, Sylhet a success.

Khoda Hafez. May Bangladesh Live Forever.

I am happy to learn that Metropolitan University is organizing its second Convocation. It is surely a long dream for all the graduating students, their parents and guardians, faculty and the university authority. Let me extend my heartiest felicitations to them on this memorable occasion.

A university, be it private or public, is not just a certificate-awarding institution; it is rather a place where knowledge is continuously sought, researched, cultivated and disseminated. It should ideally be a seat of academic excellence and a nursing ground for values to be inculcated among the students.

I believe, Metropolitan University has already made a remarkable progress in the field of higher education and made a tradition of its own. I am sure, it will continue adding to our national academic excellence.

I wish the convocation a great success.

Private Universities are an integral part of higher education system. From the very inception, Metropolitan University has been trying to develop itself as a centre of excellence in teaching and research. I do appreciate the way it is grooming a generation of students with the right kind of knowledge and skills and implanting in them values, vision and patriotism so that they can face life squarely. I am sure Metropolitan University will continue bringing a positive change in the arena of our higher education.

I wish the 2nd Convocation a grand success.

Today is the day of recognition as we acknowledge the success and achievements of our graduating students; success that has come through hard work, perseverance and dedication over the last few years.

It is also an important day for guardians, family and friends. This achievement that we celebrate today would not have been possible without the support of those nearest to us and today is a celebration which you are very much part of, too.

On behalf of myself and everyone at Metropolitan University, I hope you enjoy your day today.

May success kiss your feet in every walk of life.
Congratulations and good luck!
