Observance of Shaheed Day and International Mother Language Day – 2025
This is to inform all concerned that the university will observe Shaheed Day and International Mother Language Day with due dignity on 20 and 21 February 2025. The schedule of events are as follows:
20 February 2025 (Thursday): A discussion program will be held at Professor M. Habibur Rahman Library Hall at 12:45 p.m.
21 February 2025 (Friday): The national flag hoisting ceremony (including hoisting at half-mast) will take place on the university campus at 9:30 a.m.
All students, faculty and staff will gather to pay tribute to the martyrs at Shaheed Minar Monument, Chowhatta, Sylhet at 10:00 a.m.
Additionally, the university shall remain closed on 21 February 2025 in observance of the day.
All are requested to attend the events to honour the significance of this occasion.
This notice is issued with the approval of the competent authority.
