Metropolitan University, one of the leading private university in the country, has observed ‘July Martyrs’ Day’ in remembrance of those who were martyred during the 2024 mass uprising.

To mark the occasion, the national flag was flown at half-mast on campus this Wednesday.

Following the Zuhr prayer, a special prayer session (Doa Mahfil) was held at the university’s academic building for the martyrs and the injured of July.

Hafez Maulana Ismail Hossain, the university’s Imam, led the prayer, seeking forgiveness for the souls of all martyrs, including Shaheed Abu Sayeed of the July 2024 quota reform movement, and praying for the swift recovery of the injured.
