About the Event

The Department of Software Engineering at Metropolitan University, Sylhet, in association with the SWE Innovators Forum, is organizing MU SWE Innovation Fest 2026 — a month-long celebration of programming, creativity, innovation, and technology.

Under the theme “Code, Create, Conquer,” the festival brings together students through three exciting programming and technology-focused events, providing opportunities to learn, compete, collaborate, and showcase their problem-solving skills.

Featured Events

1. MU Programming Olympiad — Season 3

Workshop Dates: 5, 12, 19 & 26 September 2026
Final Contest: 3 October 2026

The MU Programming Olympiad returns for its third season with a series of programming workshops followed by a final programming contest. The event aims to strengthen students’ programming, logical thinking, and competitive problem-solving skills.

2. National Hackathon 2026

Date: 10 October 2026
Duration: 24 Hours
Participation: Open to students from universities across Bangladesh

The National Hackathon 2026 will bring together university students from across Bangladesh for an intensive 24-hour innovation and problem-solving challenge.

3. Intra-University Junior Programming Contest

Date: 12 October 2026
Participation: Open to 1st and 2nd Year Metropolitan University Students

The Intra-University Junior Programming Contest will provide an opportunity for early-year students to develop their competitive programming skills and experience the excitement of programming contests.

Prize Giving Ceremony

Prize-giving ceremonies will be held for the participating events as follows:

• National Hackathon 2026: 11 October 2026

• MU Programming Olympiad 2026: 13 October 2026

• Intra-University Programming Contest: 13 October 2026
