Academic Council and Syndicate meetings held

The 30th?meeting of the Academic Council and 21st?Meeting of Syndicate were held on Thursday, the 5th?September 2019?in University Conference Room.

The meetings were presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Md. Saleh Uddin.

The meeting ratified the minutes of the 29th meeting of Academic Council as well as some vital decisions regarding?approval of examination committees of different departments, students' degree, extension of the registration period etc.

The members of Academic Council attending the meeting included Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Shiba Prasad Sen, Syndicate nominated Member Professor Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and Professor Dr. Yasmeen Haque, ?Board of Trustees nominated member Professor Dr. M.A Ahbab, Dean of the School of Law Professor Dr. M. Rabiul Hossain , Dean of the School of Business and Economics Professor Dr. Md. Taher Billal Khalifa, Treasurer and Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences Professor Dr. Suresh Ranjan Basak, Dean of the School of Science and Technology Dr. Md. Nazrul Haque Chowdhury, Controller of Examination and Head of Bangla Department Professor Nandalal Sharma, Professor Department of Law and Justice Barrister M. Arosh Ali, Registrar Mr. Muhammad FR Tanvir.

The Syndicate meeting was held at 3 pm on the same day. Pro Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Shiba Prasad Sen; Board of Trustees nominated member, former Governor of Bangladesh Bank? Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin;Treasurer and Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Suresh Ranjan Basak; Dean of the School of Law, Professor Dr. M. Rabiul Hossain; Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dr. ASM Iftekhar Uddin, and Registrar Mr. Muhammad FR Tanvir attended the meeting.

The meeting approved of the decisions of the 20th?Syndicate Meeting and those of the meeting of the 29th?Academic Council. In addition, the promotion and study leave of teachers of different departments and the degree earned by the students were approved.
