Metropolitan University Observed 99^th?birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman & National Children?s Day on 17^th?March 2019. On the occasion, a discussion meeting was held at Professor M. Habibur Rahman Library Hall at 12 pm presided over by the Dean of the School of Law, Professor M Rabiul Hossain. Professor Nandalal Sharma,??Controller of Exams;?Professor Dr. SM Ali Akkas,?Head of the Department of Economics; Gazi Saiful Hasan,?Assistant Professor &?Head of the Department of Law & Justice;??Assistant Professor Surajit Sinha; Lecturer of the Department of Business Administration, Md. Afsarul Islam; Lecturer of the Department of CSE, Rahatara Ferdousi and Lecturer of the Department of English, Tasnuva Tabassum spoke in the meeting. The discussants said, Bangladesh would not have emerged if Bangabandhu were not born. Bangabandhu's work and sacrifice for independence is rare in history. They also said, the ideologies of Bangabandhu have to be implemented along with celebrating his birth anniversary. The Deans of all Schools, Heads of Departments, faculty members, officials and students were also present in the discussion.
