The 97th Birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed in Metropolitan University. On the occasion, a discussion was held in the Professor Habibur Rahman Library Hall. At the discussion meeting, the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Saleh Uddin says, ?Bangabandhu had an intimate relation with the people of the nation. It can be clearly understood by reading his biography. Bangabandhu's role for Bangladesh can not be denied.? The discussants paid glowing tribute to Bangabandhu for his unwavering struggle and charismatic leadership for the independence of Bangladesh and highlighted the spirit and philosophy of Bangabandhu in establishing independent Bangladesh. The discussion was chaired by Professor Dr. M. Robiul Hossain (Dean, School of Law). Besides Deans of all the schools, Heads of all departments, faculty members, officials and students were present in the discussion. The day is also celebrated as National Children?s Day. After the discussion slide shows, short films depending on child law were played.
