Debate Workshop Held at Metropolitan University

A workshop titled “Voice and Vision: Debate Training for Leaders” was organised by the Department of English at Metropolitan University, focusing on various aspects of debating. The event took place on Sunday, with national debate trainer Ishtiaq Hossain Munshi serving as the resource person.


During the session, he provided training on leadership qualities and debating techniques, engaging participants through practical insights and interactive discussions.


Professor Md. Ishrat Ibne Ismail, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Metropolitan University, Associate Professor Anik Biswas, Acting Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Assistant Professor Sanjida Chowdhury, Head of the Department of English, were present at the workshop. Faculty members from the department were also in attendance.


The workshop was conducted by Tasnim Ahmed Simia, a student from the 54th batch of the English Department. A total of 56 students took part, gaining valuable understanding of leadership and debating skills through the lively and informative session delivered by the resource person.
