Nanotechnology is an area of immense potential of modern science. Realizing the precis, department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering has arranged a seminar on ?The Opportunities & Prospects of Nanotechnology in Bangladesh? in Prof. Habibur Rahman Library Hall today at 11am. Director of the Centre for Research on Semiconductor Technology and Professor of the department of EEE (University of Dhaka) Dr. Jahid Hasan Mahmud was present in the seminar as the keynote speaker. Dr. Jahid Hasan Mahmud has highlighted all the research areas of Nanotechnology in Bangladesh. As well as he points out some other research areas of Nanotechnology before the researchers of Metropolitan University where they can practice and contribute. At afternoon, in the second session of the seminar Dr. Jahid Hasan discusses ?Research Methodology? before the students of third year and fourth year. Dr. Nazrul Haque Chowdhury(Dean, School of Science), Chowdhury Md. Mukammel Wahid (Head, Dept. of CSE), Miah Md. Asaduzzaman (Head, Dept. of EEE) and all the teachers & student from the school of science attended the seminar. However the seminar proves as one of the most successful event of the year.
