The fifth session of Clemon Indoor Uni Cricket Tournament 2018 started on Tuesday 8^th?May?at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.?32 renowned Universities are participating in the Tournament.

Only Metropolitan University Cricket Team joined the Tournament from Sylhet Division. The contingent consisted of 14 players. The officials are Manager - Mr. Tarek Islam, Brand Ambassador-??Khandakar Md. Rajin Saleh, Coach- Md. Jahir Hossain and Assistant Coach Md. Saidur Rahaman.

Metropolitan University Cricket Team won the opening match of Clemon Indoor Uni Cricket Tournament 2018 against Southern University Bangladesh by 32 runs.

In the first match of the tournament Southern University won the toss and selected to bowl first. Though the starting of Metropolitan University was not good as they lost two early wickets for only 21 runs, the well-controlled batting of opener Mahbub threw a fighting score of 146 runs. He scored 69 runs and remained not out till the end. Besides, Tahmim scored 18 and Saidur 13.

The reply of the Southern University was really terrific. Opener Rabbi and Ripon made 29 runs. Southern University was 1/61. The Southern University were all out for 114 runs. The attacking bowling of Metropolitan University, Sylhet helped them earn a win by 32 runs.
