With an imposing slogan ?Technology for messes? The School of Science & Technology has arranged a glorious IT Festival in the campus. On Saturday, early in the morning the acting Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Shiba Prashad Sen remain present in the inaugural ceremony along with Dr. Nazrul Haque Chowdhury(Dean, School of Science & Technology), Dr. Suresh Ranjan Basak (Dean, School of Humanities & Social Science), Dr. Taher Billal Khalifa (Dean, School of Business & Economics), Dr. M. Rabiul Hossain (Dean, School of Law), Professor Khandker Mahmudur Rahman (Treasurer), Muhammad FR Tanvir (Registrar), Mr. Tarek Islam (Director, Admin), Mihir Kanti Chowdhury (Director, Finance), Adv. Lukman Ahmed Chowdhury (PRO), Chowdhury Md. Mukammel Wahid (Head, Dept. of CSE), Miah Md. Asaduzzaman (Head, Dept. of EEE), Md Jamal Uddin (Head, Dept. of Business Administration), Prof. Johirul Islam(SUST, Dept. of CSE), Rifat Kibria (Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE, SUST), Mr. Jahid Kaysar (Manager, Banglalink Sylhet Zone) and the convener of the event Nawshad Ahmed Chowdhury (Lecturer, Dept. of EEE). On the first day of the festival 9 Mobile Apps, 12 Web Apps from dept. of CSE & 13 other project from the dept. of EEE is displayed. Besides, some other events also held on the day such as programming contest, quiz contest, robotic football and seminar by Google Bus. Chowdhury M Mukammel Wahid (Head, Dept. of CSE) says about the event, ?Highlighting all the successful approach of the student of Metropolitan University in Information Technology & making students more enthusiastic in Information Technology is the foremost goal of the event? For the festival entire campus is magnificently decorated and festive wind is blowing everywhere.
