Four Metropolitan University Rover Scouts Receive National Service Award
Four members of the Metropolitan University Rover Scout Group have been awarded the National Service Award in recognition of their significant and consistent contributions to humanitarian service and social welfare activities. This prestigious achievement has brought national-level recognition and appreciation to the university’s Rover Scouting activities.
The award recipients are former Senior Rover Mate Md. Tarek Miah, Rover Mate Shahriar Alam Mehedi Tapadar, Rover Mate Md. Morsalin Raj, and Senior Girl-in-Rover Mate Tawhida Binte Hasan Chowdhury.
For a long period, they have actively participated in various humanitarian and community service initiatives by upholding the principles and ideals of Rover Scouting.
It is noteworthy that the National Service Award is conferred in recognition of exceptional and dedicated humanitarian efforts by Scouts, Rovers, Scouters, and associated individuals. Such efforts include measurable and sustained contributions to public welfare, such as rescue operations during floods, cyclones, storms, and other disasters, as well as the collection and distribution of relief materials and continuous support for affected communities.
