International Research Summit Accepts Multiple Research Abstracts from Metropolitan University Law Students


Students of the Department of Law and Justice at Metropolitan University, have achieved a significant milestone in higher education and research. Abstracts of eight research papers by the students have been accepted at an international conference organized by the Begum Rokeya University Research Society, bringing notable recognition to the university.

The conference, titled the International Research Summit 2026, commenced on Tuesday (13 January) and will continue through Thursday.

The accepted abstracts were submitted by Metropolitan University law students Shah Sultana Takiya, Shahriyar Alam Mehdi Tapadar, Jayanta Sen, Md. Tarek Mia, Shah Fazle Elahi, Raihan Ahmed Talukder, Nusrat Jahan Doha, Khatune Jannat Fatema Chowdhury Sonamoni, Monowar Ahmed Tarek, Hossain Ahmed, Nurah Sahid Joarder, Mosammat Samia Akter Hafsa, and Md. Biplob Ahmed. Their research addresses a wide range of important issues, including constitutional law, human rights, environmental justice, gender equality, mental health, medical negligence, and judicial innovation.

University authorities stated that students of the Department of Law and Justice at Metropolitan University have consistently played an active role in research, innovation, and social development initiatives at both national and international levels. The acceptance of their research abstracts at another international conference demonstrates that creative thinking, academic excellence, and internationally standard research practices can nurture world-class researchers from Bangladesh. This achievement not only reflects the success of a single university but also highlights the growing strength of Bangladesh’s emerging research culture among young scholars.
