The event 'Let's Listen to the Story of Liberation War' organized by the Sylhet District Information Office, was held at Professor Habibur Rahman Hall on 8^th of February 9, 2024. The programme was presided over by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahirul Hoque. Mr. Sheikh Russel Hasan, Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet attended the programme as Chief Guest.

The program was anchored by Gazi Saiful Hasan, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Law and Justice. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury, Freedom Fighter Mr. Masuk Uddin Ahmad, Treasurer Professor Dr. Taher Billal Khalifa, Dean of the School of Science and Technology Dr. Md. Nazrul Haque Chowdhury, Deputy Registrar Mr. Mihir Kanti Choudhury, Deputy Director of District Information Office Mr. Md. Salah Uddin, and Sylhet Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Ms. Nasreen Akhter also spoke on the occasion.

The occasion featured a quiz competition centered around the Liberation War, with prizes distributed among the winners. The event drew the presence of all Deans, heads of departments, teachers, students, and officers and employees of Metropolitan University.
