Metropolitan University Bangladesh proudly announces
that its interdisciplinary team, comprising talented students from the Computer
Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and Law and
Justice departments, has secured a coveted spot as a global finalist in NASA's
Space Apps Challenge 2023.
The competition, which also involved collaboration with esteemed space agencies and industry giants such as Google and Microsoft, witnessed an outstanding performance from the Metropolitan University team. Led by the visionary G.M. Sifat Iqbal, the team showcased the collaborative efforts of Mamunur Rashid in software development, Sakib Ahmed as an AI engineer, Towhid Hossain Chowdhury in user interface design, and Shaon Sejuti Shaili contributing impact analysis for the Empathy Analyzer.
Outshining a competitive field of 5600 projects, the
Metropolitan University team, along with three other Bangladeshi projects,
clinched a spot among the final 40. The global champion, to be unveiled in the
forthcoming stages, is set to receive prestigious recognition.
This accomplishment not only reflects the
exceptional talent and dedication of Metropolitan University's students but
also underscores the institution's commitment to fostering interdisciplinary
collaboration and innovation. The university extends its congratulations to the
