Second convocation of the Metropolitan University is going to be held on 31 January at Sylhet District Sports Complex . All the preparation regarding convocation is successfully completed. Education ?Minister Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid will be presiding ?the convocation along with 1382 Graduates and He will act as a representative of Hororable President of People's Republic of Bangladesh. The convocation speech will be delivering by Dr. Tapodhir Bhattacharjee , the former Ravindra Professor of University of Delhi and the former Vice-Chancellor of Assam University. After seven years of the establishment of the University 1st Convocation? was held on April 2010. The second convocation is ?going to be held in less than 5 years of the 1st? convocation. A festive environment is created in University campus and the officials are passing a very excited time in their own desk due to the upcoming convocation of the University. University faculty, staff and students are? delighted for the glorious event. Also the former students are counting the days for the convocation along with their past memories to ruminated. Since the 1st convocation to 31st December 2014, there are 1382 students have been graduated from five departments. Among them six Graduates achieved Chancellor's Gold Medal but it is said that, none will be awarded with the Vice-Chancellor's Gold Medal in this convocation. It is also said that, this time number of the Graduates are three times then 1st Convocation. The Vice-Chancellor of Metropolitan University Dr. Saleh Uddin ensures, all the preparations for convocation successfully completed.
