Metropolitan University Team Becomes Runner-Up at Science and Technology Festival at SUST
A two-day inter-university Science and Technology Festival was held with great enthusiasm at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Sylhet. The festival was officially inaugurated on Friday, July 11, at 11:30 AM in the university's mini auditorium.
At this vibrant event, the student team from Metropolitan University achieved remarkable success, securing the position of runner-up.
Students from 14 universities across the country participated in the festival organized by ‘SUST Science Arena’.
On the first day of the event, competitions such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry Olympiads, Three-Minute Idea Presentations, Quiz Contests, and the Science Squad Game were held.
The second day featured the Life Science Olympiad, Poster Presentations, and an Extempore Speech Competition.
Six teams from Metropolitan University participated in various Olympiads and Ideathons at the event.
Among them, the team "ThinkTrek," comprising Anidra Pal and Md. Nure Alam—students from the 62nd batch of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering—was selected as the runner-up in the Three-Minute Idea Presentation competition, competing against participants from across the country.
