The Project ?Vibration Driven Electromagnetic Energy Harvester? developed by Dr. A.S.M Iftekhar Uddin, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering has been selected for the final round of Innov-A-Thon, a national competition organised by Access to Information (A2I) programme of Prime Minister's Office. This project solves national problem by transforming unused power into electricity.? Md. Raju Miah, a student of the same department has also worked in the project as the research assistant of Dr. A.S.M Iftekhar Uddin.
Innov-A-Thon is a competition organised annually by Innovation Lab, where everyone participates by creating prototypes of various projects. In order to participate in this competition, the participant must develop a visible prototype that solves a national problem or transforms a traditional system into a digital version that is faster than before with low cost maintainers.Dr. A.S.M Iftekhar Uddin said, ?The purpose of the project is to make electricity available for underprivileged people at low cost in the remote areas of Bangladesh. Through this project, it is possible to convert various unused power into electricity.?
He also said, ?The project will be implemented in national level with the collaboration of A2I Innovation Lab.?
