Metropolitan University observed ‘Private University Resistance Day’ and successfully organized a commemorative event titled ‘July Remembrance’ with due solemnity and respect. The program was held on Friday morning.
The event began at 10:00 AM in the Professor M. Habibur Rahman Library Hall with the screening of several documentaries produced by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Following this, a discussion session was held as part of the ‘July Remembrance’ segment, where university faculty members shared their insights and reflections.
The discussion session was conducted by Md. Tarek Miah and Samia Ahmed Ikra, students of the Department of Law and Justice. The session was presided over by the Treasurer of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Taher Billal Khalifa.
The welcome speech was delivered by Sheikh Ashrafur Rahman, Dean of the School of Law and Proctor of the university. Subsequently, speeches were given by Professor Dr. Tofayel Ahmed, Head of the Department of Business Administration; Professor Dr. Md. Jamal Uddin, Dean of the School of Business Administration; and Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Haque Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology.
