Today a seminar was jointly organizes by English Department of Metropolitan University and British Council Bangladesh at 9am in Professor Habibur Rahman Library Hall. In this seminar the great science fiction novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by French writer Jules Verne is presented by Mirza Tareq Baig who is a consultant of British Council. Teachers of English Department along with the Dean of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences Professor Suresh Ranjan Basak attended the seminar. Recently Metropolitan University has included this book in its syllabus. Students from department of English will have to study this book in their course ?English for Academic Purpose-2? also student of other department will study this in their course ?English Language-2? It is Discussed in this seminar how this book will be implemented in the class, how will be the reading style of this book, how new skill can be innovated and more. Besides teachers of English department shared experience on how this book can be presented before students in attractive ways. It may mentioned that Former head of the Exams of British Council Bangladesh MR. TAREK ISLAM took the initiative and arranged the signing ceremony of the MOU between BC and MU to run such an excellent programme.
