Deputy Assistant Registrar of Metropolitan University and Karate Instructor Mr. Shanti Babu Prasad Roy was an examiner in the Karate belt grade examination in West Bengal, India. An International seminar was held at Barasat, near Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal, at the initiative of the World Shito-Ryu Karate Do Seishinkai International of India. Certificates were also given to the awardees. Deputy Assistant Registrar of the University and Karate Instructor of MU Karate Club, Mr. Shanti Babu Prasad Roy participated in the seminar and served as examiner in the belt grade examination. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury and the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Saleh Uddin congratulated Mr. Shanti Roy. World Shito-Ryu Karate Do Seishinkai International is a Japan-based Organization. Mr. Shanti Roy is the Joint General Secretary of the Bangladesh Branch of the organization. He is also the third Dan of the Karate Black Belt.
