The Department of Law and Justice, Metropolitan University arranged an event titled 'Meet Our Alumni'. It was held on 24th December 2022 at Professor M. Habibur Rahman Library Hall. The programme was presided over by the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Law & Justice Mr. Gazi Saiful Hasan. The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahirul Hoque attended the programme as Chief Guest. During the event Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahirul Hoque said, "Metropolitan University will advance with remarkable success of its alumni in their professional life. After completing graduation and post graduation degrees from the Department of Law and Justice, the students are proudly working as Judge, advocate, teacher in universities, officer in domestic and international institution, legal officer in financial institutions and other law-related various professions. It is an immense pleasure for us and they are the inspiration of the current students of the department." Associate Professor and acting Dean of the School of Law, Mr. Sheikh Ashrafur Rahaman also spoke on the occasion as a special guest. Also, Assistant Professor, Md. Sher-E-Alam; Lecturer, Fatema Imrose; Lecturer, Mitu Akther and Lecturer, Taspiea Mostofa spoke on the occasion. Many notable alumni of the department attended the event including Dr. M. Z. Ashraful (LL.B. Hon's 4th Batch), Associate Professor of the Dept. of Law & Justice, Metropolitan University;? Md. Mohaymin Chowdhury &?Prabal Chowdhury (LL.B. Hon's 5th Batch), Advocate and Assistant Public Prosecutor, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, Sylhet; Israt Jahan (LL.B. Hon's 11th Batch), Senior Judicial Magistrate, Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Sunamganj; Md. Meskathull Islam (LL.B. Hon's 22nd Batch), Assistant Judge, Court of District and Sessions Judge, Sylhet; Kawsar Mahmood (LL.M. 20th Batch), Assistant Judge, Chandanish Assistant Judge Court, Chittagong; At the beginning of the programme, Muhammad Talha?(LL.B. Hon's 43rd Batch) recited from the Holy Quran & Avichanda Shyam (LL.B. Hon's 44th Batch) recited from Bhagavad Gita. The programme was anchored by Sangiti Chakraborty Puja (LL.B. Hon's 50th Batch).
