With various colorful arrangements, Metropolitan University celebrated the spring festival on 14 February 2023. Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahirul Hoque attended the opening ceremony of the programme as Chief Guest. He said, ?Metropolitan University always cherishes the Bengali tradition and culture. We want to turn our students into skilled manpower to meet the challenges of globalization and the fourth industrial revolution by retaining and nurturing their own culture. Bangladesh is a unique country in the world that has six seasons. Nature is colourfully decorated with the arrival of spring and breaking the deadness of winter. Our campus is also beautifully decorated with natural beauty. Tourists from different parts of the country come to see our campus and enjoy its beauty. I cordially thank the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury and Vice Chairman, Mr. Tanwir MO Rahman Chowdhury for establishing a large campus in such a beautiful natural environment and beautifying it every day.? Associate Professor & Head Dept. of Law & Justice, Gazi Saiful Hasan anchored the programme. Dean of the School of Business & Economics, Professor Dr. Taher Billal Khalifa; Dean of the School of Science & Technology, Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Haque Chowdhury; Proctor and Head of the Department of Economics, Professor Dr. Mohammad Jamal Uddin; Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Md. Mahfujul Hasan; Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Business Administration, Md. Masud Rana; Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of English, Anik Biswas; Acting Head of the Department of Software Engineering, Nawshad Ahmed Chowdhury; Registrar, Mr. Tarek Islam; Deputy Registrar, Mr. Mihir Kanti Choudhury also attended the ceremony. Students of different departments participated in dance, song, poem recitation and drama as part of the cultural programme during the festival.
