The 'Team Omega' of Metropolitan University has been champion in the 'Robomania V.4' competition at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Gazipur, Dhaka on 29th September 2017. 61 teams from different universities of the country participated in the competition. The ?Team Omega? has received TK 60,000 as the championship prize money The team was led by Md Anwarul Kawchar student of the department of EEE. The other members were Sheikh Md. Zakaria, Abdullah Al Noman, Kamrul Hasan, Mizanur Rahman, Rakibuzzaman Tanmay, Golam Hussain and Miftahul Amin. Team Leader Anwarul Kawchar Says, ?In the competition the challenge was to build remote control robots and self-propelled robots. Through these robots the task assigned by organiser had to be completed successfully? Meanwhile, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury congratulated the Team Omega for this tremendous success.
