LAB PROJECTS

Optical Properties of Semiconductor Quantum-Wells
• Grew GaAs-AlGaAs heterojuction using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE)
• Investigated the structure of the grown GaAs-AlGaAs crystal using Helium ion microscope
Metal Oxide Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET)
• Investigated the basic physical properties of the MOS junction (Si − SiO2), from the capacitance-voltage (C-V)
measurements of a 2-terminal MOS structure.
• Build and understand the set-up for the capacitance-voltage measurements on the MOSFET
• Investigated the input and output characteristics of the MOSFET both at the room temperature and 77K
