A Blood Donation Campaign was held in Metropolitan University City Campus on Sunday, the 31^st?March 2019. With the initiative of Metropolitan University Social Services Club and help of MU Active Blood Donors Family and Mujib Jahan Red Crescent Blood Center, 71 teachers and students of the University donated blood during the campaign. Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Shiba Prasad Sen inaugurated the donation programme. Besides, Dean of the School of Business & Economics, Professor Dr. Taher Billal Khalifa;? Dean of the School of Law, Professor Dr. Rabiul Hossain; Dean of the School of Science, Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Haque Chowdhury; Additional Director IQAC, Professor Choudhury M. Mukammel Wahid; Assistant Registrar & Public Relationship Officer, Lukman Ahmed Chowdhury also attended the campaign. Among others, Chairman of the Advisory Council of Metropolitan University Social Services Club, Mr. Surajit Sinha; Advisors, Mr. Sharif Ahmed, Mr. Arif Ahmed; President of the Club, Mr. Chayan Paul; President of MU Active Blood Donors Family, Mr Abid Kaiser; Vice President, Mustak Talukder; General Secretary, Shahriar Taki Afindi; Joint Secretary, Najiur Rahman were present. The organizers said,??The programme is organized to encourage students to donate blood and eliminate the fear of blood donation. Most of the 71 donors have donated blood for the first time in their life. Some teachers also donated blood to encourage the students.
