Two officials of the British Council, Sylhet Office, conducted a training workshop at Metropolitan University on 9th December 2019. The workshop was arranged for the admission officers of the University and it was conducted by Mr. Kazi Anwar Hoque and Mr. Joynal Hossain. The initiative of the Worksop was taken by Mr. Tarek Islam (Director, General Administration & Sports). British Council Officials discussed the admission procedures of the students passed from English Medium Institutes. According to the University Grant Commission (UGC) rules, a student can be enrolled to the University if he/she has passed 5 subjects of the 'O' level and 3 of the 'A' level. British Council officials elaborately presented this kind of some others issues related to it during the workshop. The workshop was attended by Ms. Sumona Aziz, Mr. Shanti Babu Roy, Ms. Barnali Talukdar, Ms. Lutfunahar Sadia and Mr. Jayed Hasan Ghaznavi. The Chairman Board of Trustees Dr. Taufique Rahman Chowdhury applauded the workshop taken by the British Council officials. He said that students who pass from English Medium Institute will get higher education in the country without going abroad.
