National Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman expired while undergoing?treatment at the age of 83.?He passed away at Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital at 4:55 pm on Thursday, the?14^th?May 2020. Metropolitan University has expressed deep shock and condolences at the demise of?Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman The Chairman Board of Trustees, Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury and the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Saleh Uddin expressed grief?in their respective?messages. They said, ?Professor Anisuzzaman was not only a National Professor but also a renowned writer and a researcher of profile. He chose teaching as his profession, but his writing, literary research, and organizational activities have given him a golden place in the pages of history. His progressive thought that played a role in the democratic movement-struggle will always be remembered with respect.? The Metropolitan University family prays for the salvation of the departed soul of late Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman and extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
