International Accounting Day was observed in Metropolitan University on Saturday, 10^th?November 2018 through various events like rally, discussion and quiz competition. A discussion meeting was held in Professor M. Habibur Rahman Library Hall on this occasion. It was presided over by the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Shiba Prasad Sen. Besides, the Dean of the School of Business & Economics Professor Dr. Taher Billal Khalifa, Associate Professor Dr. Md. Shohidul Haque (SUST), Head of the Department of Business Administration, Assistant Professor Mr. Md. Masud Rana, Coordinator of the programme and Senior Lecturer Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Senior Lecturer Mr. Md. Alaul Hoque and ACCA qualified Deputy Director (F&A), Nupur Chandra Dhar also joined the discussion meeting. Director (Finance) of the University Mr. Mihir Kanti Choudhury also attended the programme with faculty members and students of various departments. Discussion focused on accounting history, careers and job opportunities. Later on a quiz competition was held by the participation of the students. Afterwards the prize giving ceremony of quiz contest was held. A rally was brought out from the University. The rally moved through various streets of the city.
