The Spring Festival 2019 was held with a magnificent arrangement on 18th February 2019 in the Permanent campus of Metropolitan University. Kumar Bishwajit, the legendary singer and composer who received Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer two times was present in the festival as the special attraction and performed in the concert arranged for the festival. The audience was amused at his performance. The DIG of Bangladesh Police (Sylhet Range) Mr. Kamrul Ahsan, Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mr. SM Gulam Kibria and The Chairman Board of Trustees Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury delivered welcome speech at the beginning of the programme. Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Shiba Prasad Sen; Member, Board of Trustees, Mrs. Nazifa Khanom Chowdhury & Mr. Muhithul Bari Rahman, Former Municipal Chairman Mr. Babrul Hussain Babul, Chairman Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industries Mr. Hasin Ahmed also attended the programme. The programme was anchored by the Coordinator of the Department of Economics, Ms. Beauty Nahida Sultana and the Members of the MU Sports Club provided overall support during the programme. Teachers, students and officials of the University attended the festival.
