Metropolitan University will be the center point of knowledge, innovation and research in Bangladesh. The University will publish regular peer reviewed journals, organize departmental and subject-wise seminars, conferences and workshops to advance the research work of teachers and students. Two new lecture halls and two advanced software and hardware labs are going to be set up in the campus next month. Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahirul Hoque expressed this hopefulness on Thursday, 29 December 2022 during a meeting with the Deans of Schools, Heads of the Departments, Student Welfare Advisor and Proctor. He expressed his gratitude to the Chairman, Board of Trustees Dr. Toufique Rahman Chowdhury for all his support and initiatives to turn the University into a center of excellence. Vice Chancellor observed, ?Classes of all the programmes will commence on 15 January 2023. Students are being admitted from all over the country. Therefore, 30 more Lecturers and Assistant Professors will be appointed in different departments next month.? He also thanked all concerned on successful completion of Summer Term Final Examination 2022.
