Welcome to the Department of Law & Justice under the School of Law, Metropolitan University, Sylhet, Bangladesh. We are thankful to you for your interest in the department. The prospectus provides you with a general overview of the department as well as the School.
The Department of Law & Justice under the School of Law, Metropolitan University is a place for those students who wish to have a chance in the intellectual & Practical premises of Law. It is one of the most prospective subjects around the world. So it can be claimed that the department has successfully accommodated a group of bright students of the region as well as the country.
Now, we have 11 full time faculty members, all of whom have a bright academic career. Professor Dr. M. Rabiul Hossain (Ex Dean & Chairman of Faculty of Law & Department of Law of Rajshahi University) is now the Dean of the School. Besides, we have four adjunct faculties who are very prominent in their respective fields of professional concentration. Under the department of Law & Justice, we try to mould students to help them enter the legal profession that is corresponding with the modern society. We hope, the graduates of this department with their knowledge, wisdom, skills & ethical values will work for justice & equality. We endeavor to maintain the standards of legal education. The department is always keen to provide the students with all their requisite demands. We have students’ advisors (Teachers) who provide necessary counseling and other necessary services to the students.
I hope that the department in its journey through the twenty first centaury will gradually achieve the status of one of the best Law departments in the country as well as the world.
